ONE SWEET SEVENTH BIRTHDAY!

This cake was made for my little girl's birthday.  Her theme was CANDY! So, the bottom tier was vanilla with sprinkles mixed in the batter, filled with almond icing.  The top was chocolate, filled with chocolate icing.  The whole cake was iced in buttercream and then airbrushed.  Chewy Spree candy and dots were used as a border.

BAPTISM CAKE

HOLIDAYS & HAPPENINGS

A VERY MINNIE 1st BIRTHDAY!

SOME PRETTY SWEET VEGETABLES!

Made for my mother-in-law, Linda.  Gardening is her hobby, so I made her a couple of nice rows!  The tomato plants are piped on, while the cabbages, broccoli and cauliflowers are made of fondant.

SPLASHING DOLPHINS

LIFE'S A BEACH

This cake was made for a tourist visiting our little island, who was celebrating a birthday.  She wanted a cake that reflected just that.  I made this sheet cake and decorated it using crushed vanilla wafers for sand, gumpaste flip flops, shells and flowers.

A LITTLE REDFISHING CAKE!

FAMILY FUN DAY AT CATHOLIC CHURCH

This was made for a family fun day at our local Catholic church.  The cake was done to represent the body and blood of the Eucharist.  The communion wafers were made from gumpaste while the grapes were piped from buttercream.  Cornelli lace was piped all over.

GIRLY GATORS!

IT'S ELMO'S WORLD!

I made this cake for a friend of mine's grandson this weekend.  The bottom tier was almond cake with strawberry filling and almond buttercream.  The top tier was chocolate with chocolate filled, iced in almond buttercream.  Elmo, the #2, and stars were crafted from gumpaste.  The letters, dots, and sign were made from fondant.

A Scorpio Birthday Cake

I made this cake for a great friend of mine who happens to be a scorpio.  She wanted a cake with a scorpion and topaz accents for her birthstone.  The topaz jewels on the side of the cake were molded poured sugar.

WHO DAT!

This was made, obviously for a Saints fan, so no, I didn't have to pipe a hidden fleur-de-lis!  The cake was vanilla, filled with Bavarian cream.

SOMETHING FISHY GOING ON...

I made these two cakes for personal friends of ours' little boys' birthday party.  The flounder was made of red velvet cake, with a cream cheese frosting.  The speckled trout was almond wedding cake with almond buttercream.  Happy Birthday James & Jacob!

AARRGGHH!

This cake was made for a little boy's pirate party.  The island was built up to hide his birthday present inside the cake!  When the tree was pulled out, out came a bottle holding buried treasure!!

MAXINE

Happy Birthday Linda!
This red velvet cake was made for my mother-in-law Linda's birthday.  I piped Maxine in navy blue to represent her at work...

DUCK HUNTING

This cake was done for my neighbors who wanted a duck hunting theme.  I made the top as a replica of their chocolate lab.  In photos, the colors did come out off and looks shiny...
