Today I made this cake for a little girl's 9th birthday. Her mother asked that I make something "girly" and left the design up to my discretion, so this is what I came up with. Black, White and Turquoise Zebra Stripes.
Both layers were vanilla cake, iced with buttercream and homemade fondant. The bottom layer was filled with Bavarian creme, while the top layer was Banana creme. This was the first time I've used fondant curls to decorate with, and I think they turned out nice!
